The Bill (Reg. No.2719) eliminates double regulation of tariffs for subscription to and delivery of national periodicals.
The Committee members expressed their remarks concerning the Bill. Thus, pursuant to Article 4 of the effective Law, State support of mass media is secured by the protectionist policy of reducing use value of information production, including tax, tariff, customs, exchange and economic control, restoration of damages, rendering of financial aid. Moreover, the Committee members stressed that the funds necessary for financial aid were determined by the State Budget of Ukraine and administered by the State Treasury of Ukraine.
